A skill is a Markdown file with instructions. Skills live in personal, market or custom folders. The market folder is a placeholder.

Safety

Skills larger than 15,000 characters are rejected. Skills with injection-like text are rejected on save.

Two skills ship: identity and Obsidian notes. See skills-catalog.json.

Built-in skills

Identity skill

Tells the agent who it is and who made it.

  • Folder: personal
  • Used when: When a user asks who the agent is.
  • Steps: Read the identity block; Answer in plain words

Obsidian-ready notes

How to write notes so they open cleanly in Obsidian.

  • Folder: personal
  • Used when: When saving notes into the vault.
  • Steps: Pick a clear title; Add front matter and tags; Save into the vault folder
